The Temple of Tao Shu and Lin Zexu
Exhibition time:2023/9/04
The Temple is a shrine dedicated to the renowned Qing dynasty statesmen Tao Shu and Lin Zexu. In May 2001, the temple was demolished due to the widening and reconstruction of Changjiang Road. However, in 2007, it was relocated and reconstructed in its original form at its current site.
The present-day temple covers an area of 871 square meters. In addition to restoring the shrine, it also provides information about the relationship between Tao Shu, Lin Zexu, and Zuo Zongtang. The rooms on the left and right sides of the front hall primarily introduce the life stories of Tao Shu and Lin Zexu and their achievements during their governance of the Liangjiang region.
